Orphan Photo # 61 Vintage Tin Type Photo of Young Lady With Her Hat

Today's posting is of a vintage Tin Type from the late 1800's to early 1900's. It is a young lady in probably her best dress. Her dress has a big bow at the front with what looks like a pin holding it together. On the table is her hat. It also appears she has a small bow in her hair and wearing a ring on her right hand. Sadly we have no identification to let us know where it was taken or who she is.
Hope that you are enjoying my vintage photos and will stop by again.. Grace

  1. Too bad she looks so unhappy. Probably she had to sit still for a long time.

  2. Grace....most pictures from this time always seem to have a frown...is that not strange? I always wonder about that! Have a great VTT!

  4. This is a wonderful photograph just chock full of "style" information! Love her hat and the elaborate buttoning on the front of her dress.

I guess it would have been very hard to keep smiling for as long as you needed to keep still and one little twitch and they had to start all over again but it does make it seem as if everyone was very miserable back then!
