Here is another cute photo in my collection. Mom and Dad with their new baby. I am guessing it is from the 1930's. I love her hair and the waves and if you notice his hair it is shaved across the bottom portion. This photo is from a collection I bought awhile back of this darling child. She is a girl and lived in Georgia. At one time I knew her name but these photos do not have that information is lost.

Hope that you have enjoyed this picture from the past of a family I never knew but could not leave at an estate sale.

Thanks for stopping by.. hope to see you again real soon. Grace

Jewels By Trifari ~ The Beauty of Vintage Costume Jewelry

I love to buy and sell vintage costume jewelry. One of my favorite companies to search for is Trifari.

I found this jewelry box from Trifari stating Jewels by Trifari. It is a treasure in its own right and a fun way for me to show case my Trifari.

Featured are 5 pair of clip on earrings by Trifari that I have puchased in the past. The ones with faux pearls are my favorite.

These will be sold either on eBay or in my antique case. Thanks for stopping by to see some of my costume jewelry, I wills share more in the future. Grace

Treasures Found At Thrift Stores and Estate Sales

Hubby and I love to spend several days a week hunting for books and any other items we think we can resell on eBay or Amazon to suppliment our retirement income.

I have always believed that my hubby did not really listen to me when I was sharing items I was looking for to resell.
Well I was wrong, I had mentioned that vintage Disney fabric was sellable on eBay and look what he spotted first at a recent estate sale. I put it up for auction last night and it already has bids.

Also this week at a thrift store I spotted two glasses that look like Dorothy Thorp roly poly that were made popular on the Mad Men show. I do not know if they are real Thorp's or some made to look like them during the mid century period.  I have listed them on eBay with a statement of not knowing if they are orginal or not. You can watch to see if they sell by hitting the link above.

I love going to sales, great entertainment and there is always the possiblity of finding a true treasure to resell on ebay. You can see what I am selling by going here.

So here is two tips for you to watch for when you are out hunting. Do you have any that you want to share. I love tips on what to look for while out hunting.

We went out several times this week hunting for items to resell .. I bought several cookbooks that I posted about on my other blog. To read all about them and see the pictures you can go here. They range from Paula Deen to 1948 vintage family cookbook.

Also found used mirrors to repurpose in the future.

Hope that your week went well with your hunting for treasures.

Today I went to a estate sale and in the garage on a shelf I found this photo. Right next to it was another of a gentleman and as I looked at this one a man spotted me and grabbed that one in case it was a treasure. Darn it next time if I spot two old photos I will grab and then look and check out the price.

Well I got one great old Sepia photo and will resell it on eBay. Sadly there is not name but she is really something in her period dress and bonnet.  Not sure of when this would of been taken but I will guess early 1800's and hope that some of you can help me with the date.

She appears mid age to older and with a very serious face with down turn mouth. Photo measures 11 inches by 13 1/2 inches so would of been in a frame and hung on a wall at one time.

I found other items at the estate and church sale but this was the only old photo.

I will be sharing this at Sepia Saturday

Hope that you enjoy this wonderful vintage photo and thanks for stopping by.. Grace
