Orphan Photo # 63 Vintage Tin Type Photo of Two Women Late 1890's

Vintage tin type of Orphan Photo #62 is of two pretty women from the late 1890's. Sadly we have no way to know who they were or where this was taken. They appear to be two sisters, one being a little heavier than the other and probably are in theie mid to late twenties.

Orphan Photo # 61 Vintage Tin Type Photo of Young Lady With Her Hat

Today's posting is of a vintage Tin Type from the late 1800's to early 1900's. It is a young lady in probably her best dress. Her dress has a big bow at the front with what looks like a pin holding it together. On the table is her hat. It also appears she has a small bow in her hair and wearing a ring on her right hand. Sadly we have no identification to let us know where it was taken or who she is.
Hope that you are enjoying my vintage photos and will stop by again.. Grace

Orphan Photo # 59 Vintage Tin Types Family in Hats

Great vintage tin type photo of an unidentified family. Appears to be two brothers and a sister. All are dressed in their best clothes and wearing hats.

The young man on the left appears to be the youngest of the three and probably a little shorter than his brother. His hat stands up higher so he looks to be the same height.

The young lady is dressed in a blouse and skirt or dressed with embrodery trim on skirt at the lower edge.

This is probably from the late 1800's to early 1900's.

Hope that you are enjoying my vintage photos and will stop back again.. Grace

Orphan Photo # 34 Tin Type

Here is another vintage tin type photo. This one is of a beautiful young woman. Her hair is done up and she is wearing a cross around her neck. She has a scarf around her neck also. I do not remember any of my other vintage photos having a cross around the ladies neck. Interesting, I will have to watch for other's posing with their cross.

Tin type is in a paper frame and the tin type is scratched sadly. I love these old tins. I probably bought this while I was living in Minnesota. No markings to tell me where she lived or who she was.

Thanks for stopping by...

Orphan Photo # 17

For Vintage Thingies I am sharing another of vintage photos of children.

This one is an old Tin Photo and the child is just adorable.

Dressed in a small patterned dress with big collar. Short hair with what looks like a curl in the center. Beautiful big eyes.

So sad that there is no identification with the photo.

Orphan Photos # 5 to 8 Tin Type

This is a group of 4 pretty young women from my collection of Tin Type Photos.
Sadly their was no indication of who any of them are. I probably bought these while I lived in Minnesota.
Tintypes were produced in the USA from 1856 and became popular from the 1860s. They remained popular into the 1900s and as late as the 1920s.
They are poorer quality and harder to see the detail.
Photographers usually worked outside at fairs and carnivals and as the support of the tintype is resilient and does not need drying, instant photographs can be produced only a few minutes after taking the photograph.
