Orphan Photo # 47 Little Girls And Their Dolls .... A Glimpse Of The Past .. Vintage Thingies Thursday

I found this photo recently at an antique store to resell on eBay. It has two darling little girls in their winter coats and hats holding their new dolls

Back of photo says " Our " twins " Everybody thinks they are. With two of the dolls they got for Christmas. Norma calls them creepy dolls ... she means sleepy doll.

No other identification but what do we know?

One little girl's name is Norma

They are not really twins

They live some where cold enough for coats and hats

They are wearing shoes that look like they are from the early 1900's

The little girl on the left appears to be wearing glasses

The building on the right looks like it is either a large house or their are two houses real close together. Their is a fence at the front of one of them.

I found these at an antique store in the Houston Texas area but who knows where the photo is really taken

  2. I love how you can look at a photo and read so much from it. With an inscription like that, Norma and her friend need to be remembered.

  3. cute picture...but it is just amazing to me how these end up in antique stores and thrift stores, I see them a lot....memories and family history just tossed away....makes me sad. Love how you saw all the neat things to point out...don't you just wish one of these little girls would see the picture and say, "Hey...that's me"
    Happy VTT!

  6. It's amazing how much information you pulled from that sad lil orphan photo. It makes me sad knowing that it was seperated from the family but at least the image is being appreciated and the girls and their dolls are darling. Thanks for sharing it!
