Vintage Thingie Thursday - JELLO On The Menu

For vintage Thingie Thursday I am sharing three vintage JELLO recipe booklets I picked up awhile back.

Booklet on the left is dated 1926
Should we make " Camp Fire Pudding"
1 package of orange jello
1 cup of boiling water
1 cup orange juice and cold water
2 oranges free from membane and cut into pieces
8 marshmellos, quartered.

top right booklet is dated 1931
Lets make "Daffodil Sponge"
1 package Lemon Jello
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 pint boiling water
2 eggs
2 Tablespoons sugar

bottom booklet 1926
last we will make " Raspberry Delight "
1 package Raspberry Jell -O
1 cup boiling water
1 cup raspberry juice and water
1 cup canned raspberry drained

Today I found a vintage Tupperware Jello mold at the thrift store. All three pieces and in good condition. Will put them up for sale on eBay this weekend and see what happens.

Thanks for stopping by and seeing me on Vintage Thingie Thursday. Check out some of the other

  1. Great vintage recipe books. I have a few that belonged to my mother. I seldom use them.

  4. Keep the molds! You have those great recipes - they are begging to be made in the retro molds! :-)
    Thanks for sharing.
    Happy VTT!

  5. I agree, those vintage recipes would taste even better made in a retro mold. Fantastic!

  6. There are a couple of kinds of Jello molded salads that I really like. I have several old Jello books but the recipes in the books don't look very appealing to me.
