Sepia Saturday 150: 3 November 2012 ~ President John F Kennedy in Duluth Minnesota

Posting is political, Irish or sports.
I am sharing a personal snap shot from family collection.  I believe it is of  President John F Kennedy here in Duluth Minnesota campaigning to become president. He was here in 1960 and 1963. You can read about it here.

I am guessing a uncle of mine took this picture or maybe even an aunt of mine. Sadly I do not know who the gentle men are with John Kennedy.

Small snap shot black and white and a family treasure for sure. I share this over at Sepia Saturday. Thanks for stopping by. Grace

  1. This is so cool- from my own state! I googled President Kennedy in Duluth in (their images) and he was there in September of 1963 they said-from other shots of him there as well- and oh my goodness that was just a short time before his death in November. What a treasure of a photo you have! Thanks for sharing this with us!

  2. The man at the front left looks familiar to me but I'm not very knowledgeable about the politicians of that time. Hang on to that photo.

  4. Isn't that a sheriff's hat just above JFK's shoulder?
Sometimes I wonder how the world would have looked like if he had served two full terms.

  9. What is really irksome is that they all have name-tags, but we can't read them!

  11. This is a treasure and doubly so as it was taken so close to Nov 1963. Also it is a timely photo with the election that is looming. Thanks for sharing.

  12. I believe it was taken the first time he was in Duluth, Minnesota before he became president. I think this is 1960 but not sure. I have a picture of my husbands father with President Jimmy Carter. Will find that and share that one some time. thanks for visiting and the comments.
