Holiday time is busy but still need to take a moment to share a Sepia Saturday post. This is a vintage Christmas picture that came in a group of vintage greeting cards. I am guessing it is from the early 1900s. Pictured is a darling blond angel among the clouds with a greeting telling us " A Bright and Happy Christmas"
There are no names written on back so I have no idea who owned it before but glad it is mine for the time being. I will be offering it for sale on etsy soon.
Thank you for stopping by and please take a moment to share other Sepia Saturday postings. Grace
My wife also has this heavenly look but no way I'm gonna sell her :)
ReplyDeleteThey certainly don't make them like that any more.
ReplyDeleteI love old Christmas cards, too! This kid is too angelic for me, though -- makes me want to smack him! Hmmm; probably not a very Christmassy thought, eh?
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty card.
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed an angelic face and nice piece of ephemera. Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteLovely
ReplyDeleteI can easily understand why someone saved this for you to discover. Have a great Christmas holiday.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Merry Christmas.

Fascinating how they used light to indicate so many things in this image. Golden child. Bathed in light from an unknown source.
