DISPLAYING COLLECTIBLES ~ CIVIL WAR ITEMS

Like many of you, I love my collectibles. I love to search for something that is different than my neighbor.  I avoid big box stores with piles of the same thing.  I would rather go to thrift stores, garage sales and my favorite is flea markets.

One of my interests is genealogy. Ever since I heard that one of my great great grandfather's fought in the civil war, I started to collect books and then a few small item from the civil war.

On this shelf is 4 over size books on the Civil War book.  The little glass display case we found some time ago at an antique store.  When new it displayed shaving items. It now displays my civil war  items.
There is a knife, belt buckle and several bullets. These were all found on a Civil War battle field.
I have displayed also some small soldier and 2 more buckles.

Also on this shelf is a vintage clock, 2 lamps that look like candle holders and a old religious plaque that belonged to my grandparents and the fun piece that is a hand that holds a business card.

I am sharing this at

Thanks for stopping by.. hope that you visit again real soon. Grace
